Winter Storm Advisory...

If you have been watching the weather channel you would know that a HUGE storm hit Indiana Friday and Saturday (early early hours).

Friday morning when the snow started to fall Joshua and I went out and practiced how to shovel since he would be helping daddy when the big storm hit.

Joshua practicing shoveling

SO PROUD!

When the big storm it hit... A ton of snow fell and it fell fast. The windy was very strong and created snow drifts at the back of our house and the front. We got snow!!!!

So we put on the layers and headed outside

Joshua couldn't wait to go out and help daddy shovel us out!

Some day soon Micah we will be gearing you up to to go and help daddy!

Oh ya... I almost forgot - Daddy and Joshua made a snow tent.

Nobody bites my baby

Well I guess somebody did.

Joshua and Gracey went jumping today at Monkey Joes with Grandma and Joshua came home with a story. Poor guy was jumping with Gracey when another boy grabbed Joshua shirt (by the neck) and threw him down to the floor. The boy climb on Joshua and bite him twice.

Joshua and Gracey both will not look at jumping the same... They both were frightened by the ordeal with a right to be.

Joshua wiped from a very stressful and emotional outing.

When he got home he said "The boy bite me... he is naughty... he needs the spanking brush" I replied "no Joshua he needs mommy to bite him back" Grandma jumps in " we don't bite" Joshua responds "no but my mommy does"

Introducing Emelia Faith...

CONGRATULATIONS !!!!

Aaron, Lesley and Gracelyn welcomed Emelia Faith into the world on Jan 29

Everyone is healthy and doing great!!!!

Micah and Emelia 4 weeks apart

Brotherly Love

The Newton household is getting more and more normal every day. What a transition from 1 to 2 kids. We may be tired but we are LOVING it!!!!

As you can imagine Joshua struggled the most with the transition. He missed all his one-on-one time with Mommy and really struggled with Daddy. Not to mention the lack of sleep he was getting. Poor guy was up three to five times a night and waking up at 6 or 7. He was exhausted to say the least but we finally figured it out!!!!! Poor guy was falling out of his bed.

Makes perfect sense to me. I'd wake up too.

Micah is doing great! What an amazing addition to our family!!!! From day one he has been a great sleeper. Yes, I know he is a newborn and newborns love to sleep but my little guy is putting himself on a great schedule and we will adapt ours around. He usually feeds at 9ish and sleeps till 3 or 4 and then sleeps till 8ish.

We are truly blessed!!! I would feel blessed even if Micah wasn't sleeping.

Joshua and Micah time together still needs to be watched. Joshua just loves his brother soooo much!!!! He can't get close enough to his brother. He constantly kisses and hugs him - laying on him to give kisses and hugs. He sings to him when Micah is crying. Micah loves Joshua's singing - every time Joshua sings Micah cheers right up and will start crying as soon as Joshua is finished singing and it all starts over again.

Melts my heart!!!!

Adam and I are doing good. This week has been a great sleep week. Adam was on Joshua patrol and I was on Micah. Now that both are sleeping good we are getting great sleep!!!!

Adam is ROCKIN and ROLLIN at work!!! We are super proud of him. He works so hard so that I am able to stay home with my boys! :) Thanks babe!

Brutus is adapting without his Bruiser. Giving Bruiser a new home has really lowered my stress level. You would be amazed on how hard it was for me to give 1 husband, 2 boys, 2 dogs and 1 fish attention. My 1 husband and 2 boys are my priority and loves! We do love our 2 dogs and I still think and miss my Bruiser but I know he is loving life right now!
Mr. Micah is almost out of newborn clothes already.

Joshua and I are working on lots of education!!! We have some sort of activity everyday. We cook, we paint, we color, we sing... you name it I am sure we have done it.

We are looking at putting Joshua into a preschool type program. He could use the friends and interaction time and he would LOVE the education part.

What Joshua can do: (time for me to brag!!!)
--- he sings his ABC's
--- he counts 1 - 11
---he knows 1 - 10 in spanish (they are never in the same order, we are working on that!!!)
--- he sings: Jesus loves me, Twinkle Twinkle, B - I - B - L - E, Itsy Bitsy Spider, You are my sunshine, Rock - a - by baby and several songs for shows he watches
--- Flash cards are no longer a change
--- we almost have all the colors down
--- he says the sweetest prayers
--- we are working on the Lords Prayer
--- and he learns more words everyday.
---he imagination is unbelievable. he tells us great made up stories

My sweethearts!!!! :)

Micah doesn't do much but here is what he does best!!!

Bruiser found a new home

Adam and I made a very difficult decision. Since Micah's arrival we decided that it is just too hard to give attention to Joshua and Micah and the dogs. The dogs have been neglected. I posted a note on facebook to see if anyone wanted 1 or both of the dogs. I had a response and BRUISER has found a new home.

A very nice couple came over last night to meet Bruiser and LOVED him. It was a sad moment but I know that he will get the attention he needs. They have another dog, 2 years old, who he will get to play and live with. They go on walks everyday... They just have more time to give him attention.

Joshua took Bruiser leaving pretty hard. He kept saying " no Bruiser come home... No go bye bye." I am hanging in there... I have my moments. Last night was tough since Bruiser wasn't in bed with us...

I know he is in a better home.... and they said I can come visit whenever....
